How do you react when you have a friend in love? She can't focus on your conversation, she is staring into space with a smirk, she only wants to talk about how she feels. I can tell you most girls get jealous. I was one of those girls a very long time ago. I couldn't be happy for my friend... I had to pick the guy a part and warn her about how he could be a "player" or a "douche" or a "wife-beater" (ok not that bad), but I was trying to rain on her parade because I wasn't that happy.
Now that I am older and wiser, I realize being around someone that is in love is the best thing to almost being in that euphoria yourself. You have a opportunity to live vicariously through her and rekindle all those old, dusty butterfly feelings, while she is prepping for her next date. Plus you prove to her that you are a friend through and through. You want her to be happy.. which is true even if you are jealous. But this way you show her how much you love seeing her happy, and how much you want this to work out too.
Always put yourself in her position. How would you want your friends to react? Would want her to raise an eyebrow and pick on your potential new soul mate? Or... would you want her to be an giggly and excited to talk about him as you are? Give it a shot... it will make you feel good to really be able to see how happy she is.
For those of us that just can't deal with the smiles and giggles... you need to look at your life and start making some changes. Find a new project to work on that will take your mind off how jealous you are, so that you can still be a friend to her.
